Nuisance 999 calls            1/9/10

A Stornoway woman who made persistent nuisance 999 calls and broke her probation has been banned from associating with a friend who is said to be a bad influence on her.

Stornoway Sheriff Court yesterday (wed) heard that Kevin Booth was “in the background” when Maureen Mackenzie got drunk and committed a raft of offences.

The 44-year-old of 3 Queensland Road, was placed on two  years probation including 200 hours of unpaid work. She is also banned from consuming alcohol and must provide a breath test on request to police.
